Road signs

You know, there are always warning signs along the road as we head down to the pit, aren't there? Whether we see them or not, they are there, saying "Danger Zone Ahead!" and "Detour!". Why do we ignore them? Maybe we're going too fast to read or even notice them. Maybe we are distracted by what's going on around us. Maybe we see them, but choose to proceed to the danger zone. Whatever our reasons, we all land in the same spot: Bottomus-Pittus. Dark, drippy, dank.

I've been inundated the last few days with my thoughts. People have an average of 50,000 thoughts a day. Though we have them, it doesn't mean they're ours or we need to keep them. Kind of like spam. You have it in your e-mail, but you didn't ask for it and it's not from you. Some may be good, wholesome, and clean, but the majority of it will be full of lies and scams.

All our words and actions begin with a thought. Often we can think about something and then begin to feel something, like if we hate our job and we think about how much we hate it, then we can feel hatred and anxiety over doing our job.

I don't know where I'm going with all this, these are just perliminary ideas, but mind food for you to think on. And let me know what you think. The Holy Spirit provides warning signs for our thoughts, and it is our choice to listen or not. So examine your thoughts. What do you think on the most? The least?
To be continued....
