For the love of the Ossage Orange a.k.a. Crab Apple

Ah, nature. So beautiful, so natural, so unpredictable. Saturday afternoon I go outside to enjoy nature only to see my windshield totally busted. The culprit? An Ossage Orange. Apparently the fruit-with-a-purpose-I-don't-know was knocked from the tree by 70 mile an hour winds and fell right onto my windshield over the drivers side. It is smashed so badly that as I moved the car out from under the tree to the driveway, a mere five feet, I could hear glass cracking and was very afraid the whole windshield was going to crack in on me. My Christmas list now consists of a new windshield. Past presents from my husband have been new tires, an new motor, and now, a new windshield. How romantic! So our joyful lesson for today is: I am joyful as I appreciate nature for what it is and NEVER PARK MY CAR UNDER AN OSSAGE ORANGE TREE!

Until later,

Jenn
