Well, we've had a better week, due to alot of things. For starters, we went to church on Sunday. Having that extra helping of worship really does help. Then, I implemented the behavior plan (see my blog from Monday on that), which has worked as long as I enforce it. And that means every time. David (my dh) and I have gotten along better this week. Even when my plans were thrown off kilter today, I kept cool and it all worked out great.
Having continual joy has alot to do with spending quality time with God. Because we go to a church plant, right now there are no small groups for adults or kids. So I talked with the pastor about this and just told him that we were going to a church on Sundays to get that much needed small group time in. Since our church plant meets on Tuesday evenings, it works out fine. I do confess that I haven't been reading my Bible much lately, I have been reading Bible verses and Christian books, but that is not the same as studying my Bible. I need to jump back into this. So please, pray for us on our journey to joy. We have been in a low valley for about 3 months and are starting slowly to make that ascension out. I am visualizing myself hanging on to God's leg for the journey, not letting go for anything. Waiting on Him to lead me to the Solid Rock. Outbursts of singing have returned to my soul, which is a positive sign.
